About this Role

The children, staff and governors of our successful and over-subscribed Junior School are seeking to appoint a KS2 Teacher to join our enthusiastic, dedicated and motivated team.  At Riddings Junior, we aim to meet the children’s individual needs, offer them exciting learning opportunities and a chance to develop their individual personalities in a caring and motivational learning environment based around our vision of PRIDE.

We are a proud member of The Embark Federation, a growing Multi-Academy Trust across Derbyshire https://www.embarkfederation.com/  having joined in 2021.  The core beliefs of the Federation are Family, Integrity, Teamwork and Success and we are looking for someone that shares these with us. The Trust is committed to growing the careers of our staff through highly effective professional development.

The successful candidate will work within our supportive team to plan and deliver our developing curriculum in order to ensure all of our pupils reach their full potential. In return we offer you the chance to;

·         - Teach great pupils,

·         - Enjoy a welcoming and warm environment

·        - Access excellent CPD opportunities within school and through the Federation.

·         - Have the support and challenge of an extremely strong Governing Body

We are looking for a teacher who:

·         - Wants the very best for all children.

·         - Has a desire to raise standards for all through their classroom practice.

·         - Is a creative, enthusiastic and reflective practitioner.

·         - Is committed to the schools’ journey and wants an opportunity to develop their professional skills across KS2.

·         - Is excited by, and committed to, developing learning in the whole school.

·         - Has an understanding of assessment and is able to demonstrate accurate identification of ‘next steps’ in learning.

·         - Works well as a team member and has a personality that allows them to establish good relationships with everyone.

·         - Understands that learning occurs both in and outside of school and the classroom.

The successful candidate will have high expectations of themselves and our children, both academically and personally.

Applications from experienced teachers (with evidence of positive practice), are warmly welcomed.  Prospective candidates are actively encouraged and welcomed to visit the school by arrangement with the school office (school re-opens following the Easter break on the 14th April).
