  • Assist in preparing lesson materials, classroom resources, and learning activities.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the emotional and academic development of all pupils.
  • Support children with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) where required, following individual education plans and guidance from the SENCo.
  • Supervise pupils during break times, transitions, and other non‑classroom activities.
  • Help maintain accurate records of pupil progress and behaviour, reporting to the class teacher as needed.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with staff, pupils, and families.

  • Demonstrates strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Shows initiative and can adapt to different classroom situations.
  • Ideally has experience working in a primary school or childcare setting (not essential).
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not required depending on experience
