About this Role

Fountain Head House School opened in September 2021 as an Independent Special Educational Needs school and continues to grow. We currently support around 95 pupils aged 4–16 and have ambitious plans to expand to 140 pupils over the coming years.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils at the start of their educational journey, helping them to access a creative, flexible and personalised curriculum. Our approach to learning is bespoke and pupil‑centred, with a strong focus on developing independence, life skills and meaningful educational experiences that prepare pupils for their next steps.

You will work as part of a committed and supportive team, collaborating closely with class teachers and other support staff to deliver engaging learning opportunities. The role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, including those with complex or multiple learning needs, and may include assisting with emotional or behavioural regulation, as well as providing intimate care where required.

We are looking for enthusiastic, adaptable and approachable individuals with EYFS or nursery experience who are passionate about working with SEN pupils and are open to embracing our creative approach to education. Experience of supporting children with additional needs and confidence in managing behaviour positively would be highly beneficial.

Fountain Head House School is built on strong teamwork and mutual support. We offer a positive working environment where staff wellbeing is a priority, including access to Westfield Health, providing benefits such as an online GP, 24‑hour helpline, counselling support and discounts across a range of services.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment and will be subject to appropriate safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS and references.

As an equal opportunities employer, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates.
