West Grantham Church of England Secondary
Academy is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, resilient
and highly motivated Inclusion Centre Leader to oversee the day-to-day
operation of our Inclusion Centre provision.
Working alongside the Vice Principal for
Inclusion and wider pastoral team, you will play a
vital role in supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning, engage
positively with school and achieve success both academically and personally.
This is an exciting opportunity for a
skilled and ambitious practitioner to lead our Inclusion Centre provision,
playing a key role in supporting some of our most vulnerable pupils whilst
further developing their own leadership skills and professional practice.
There will be opportunities for career
development – including supporting with wider school inclusion support for the
right candidate.
The successful candidate will:
Lead the daily operation of the
Inclusion Centre – this is a small, on-site provision supporting students – the
support is a mix of academic and creative support depending on the individual
needs of the students.
Provide academic and pastoral
support for pupils with additional and complex needs.
Design and deliver personalised support programmes
to improve engagement and progress with an aim for students to progress back
into mainstream lessons.
Work closely with families, staff and external agencies to secure the best
outcomes for pupils.
Mentor pupils and help them
develop resilience, confidence and positive
learning behaviours.
