The High Point Academy opened in September 2021, and we aim for all our pupils to be "ACE" we have ambitious aspirations for all our learners; we wish to challenge the impossible and encourage independence for all.
We educate
up to 112 pupils aged 11-16 years with autism and moderate learning
difficulties. High Point is part of Forward Education Trust, a rapidly growing
Multi Academy Trust established in 2017 serving special schools across the West
Midlands (Birmingham, Solihull and Sandwell).
The successful candidate will:
· Is a highly effective classroom practitioner who is

planning and development as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
· Able to work and communicate effectively and
pro-actively with parents to provide the very best for their children.
· Monitors standards and progress to ensure high standards.
· Can plan and provide inspirational and relevant learning
experiences.
· Demonstrates highly effective behaviour skills and
strategies within KS2.
· Has high expectations of themselves and their
children.
· Makes learning real, to unlock student engagement,
stimulate curiosity, provide deeper thinking and a passion for learning.
· Is committed to developing and sustaining excellent
relationships across the whole school community.
· Has excellent communication and organisational
skills, and an approachable, determined and resilient character.
· Has had experience of leading a core subject, or has
the skill set and the willingness to lead a core subject.
· Has the relevant degree and QTS
