About this Role

Spalding Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a SEND Support Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible; Salary: G3 6-9 (£19,904-£20,861 gross per annum).  At Spalding Primary Academy, we want our children to become respectful, resilient and responsible learners in a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment, where a strong sense of belonging and identity in the school and wider community is valued.

The successful candidate will be working with a range of mainly KS1 SEND children with differing levels of high complex needs.  You should be able to adapt and modify materials and resources to meet their needs, so that they can access the curriculum whilst maintaining high aspirations for all children.  You will be able to promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils and deliver support and provision for specific pupils as directed by the teacher as part of their EHCP’s and / or Behaviour plans.

The successful candidate will be a dedicated, energetic, enthusiastic and caring professional with the ability to inspire children.  The ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative is important. The successful candidate must be able to show excellent organisational and communication skills with children and colleagues. Candidates must be able to show compassion, patience, trustworthiness and reliability.

If you would like to arrange a discussion before applying, please email Andrew.Raistrick@infinityacademies.co.uk

The post is 31.25 hours per week, term time only.

In return you will:

  • Be treated with trust and respect to become the best you can be.
  • Supported by a strong and caring leadership team.
  • Be part of a hardworking, friendly, supportive and professional team.
  • Receive excellent opportunities for professional development.

We are located just minutes from Spalding centre and half an hour from Peterborough.

Spalding Primary Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.  The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.  References will be requested prior to interview.
