About this Role

Our Lady of the Magnificat MAC are looking to recruit an Exam Invigilator. This role will be based at Trinity Catholic School.

The post is on a casual basis invigilating GCSE Level exams from the beginning of May until the end of June. Internal mock exams will also take place; these will also require Invigilator support at various times throughout the academic year.

Work hours would be agreed ahead of the exam period, which fall during term time (unpaid lunch break).

The successful candidate will:

  • Be available to work during our external examination periods throughout the year, mainly including May, June, and November.
  • Be available during internal mock examination periods at various times throughout the year.
  • Work within clearly defined rules or procedures as set by JCQ and the school.
  • Maintain the security of the examination at all times and report any possible breaches to the Exams Officer immediately.

As we strive to become an employer of choice, not only will you be joining a progressive multi- academy company, you will also receive a competitive benefits package, which as well as salary includes:

              • Health & Wellbeing employee assistance programme
              • Family friendly policies
              • Access to an excellent pension scheme
              • Access to professional qualifications and training

Some of our roles attract a high level of interest and for this reason we review applications as they are received, therefore on occasions this means roles may close earlier than advertised; so early applications are highly recommended.

We recognise that a diverse and inclusive workforce is essential to achieving our core mission, therefore we actively encourage a wide diversity of applications. We are also committed to being an equal opportunities employer and will make reasonable adjustments as required for interview.

Trinity Catholic School part of Our Lady of the Magnificat Multi Academy Company, has a responsibility for and is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable groups. All employees and volunteers are expected to share this commitment and to obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS) and where relevant, a childcare disqualification check. Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks including two suitable references, evidence of Right to Work, Medical Clearance and where applicable a prohibition check and evidence of qualifications. All successful candidates will be required to present their birth certificate along with evidence of any name changes.

This post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020. Further information can be found in the DBS filtering guide.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore, the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

An online search will also be carried out as part of due diligence on all short-listed candidates.
