About this Role

Our aim at Heyford Park School is to provide the best possible education for all our students

At Heyford Park School, our mission is to provide the best possible education for all students in a nurturing and inclusive environment. We are proud to be a warm, welcoming all-through school with a strong sense of community. Our staff body is collaborative, supportive, and genuinely enjoy working together.

We are seeking a well-qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teacher of Music to join our fantastic department in January 2025. We welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their careers. Whether you are an Early Career Teacher looking to start your journey with the support of our excellent ECT programme in partnership with Bartholomew School, or an experienced teacher seeking new challenges, we offer excellent professional development and career growth opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a school recently rated Good by Ofsted, and to join us at a dynamic point in our journey. As part of the Eynsham Partnership Academy Trust (EPA), our secondary phase is closely supported by Bartholomew School, an Outstanding school as of 2024.

Music is a thriving subject at Heyford Park, with strong results and high student engagement across all Key Stages. We run a popular GCSE Music option, and there are opportunities to work across each phase of the school, from Early Years through to KS4.

Located in the village of Upper Heyford, Heyford Park is easily accessible from Bicester, Banbury, and Oxford, serving the surrounding rural communities.

For more information or to discuss the role, please contact Andrew Binnington, Head of School, at 01869 232203 or email axbinnington@heyford.epatrust.org

Applications must be made using the EPA Application Form which should be submitted along with Equal Opportunities and Personal statements by email to recruitment@heyfordparkfreeschool.org – all forms can be found on our website under ‘Staff Vacancies’.

Please note that we advise applying promptly as we reserve the right to close and interview if sufficient suitable applications have been received.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake and receive a satisfactory Disclosure & Barring Service check as well as attending safeguarding training as part of this role.
