Join Our Team as a Senior Assistant Teacher!
Are you passionate about education and supporting young learners to achieve their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our thriving Academy.

CWA Austen is a unique co-educational all through school located in Basingstoke, which provides education and care for 128 young people between the ages of 5 to 16, with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise and manage whole classes during short-term teacher absences.
  • Support small groups and individual pupils, including those with additional needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff in planning, preparation, and resource management.
  • Deliver engaging lessons within a pre-set framework and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour in line with Academy policies.
  • Lead and mentor Assistant Teachers, contributing to their development and training.
