About this Role

Trinity CE First School, Verwood is a warm, nurturing First School in the heart of the community in Verwood, with 118 children on roll.

Following the promotion of the current Deputy to Headteacher of another school within the Trust, we are looking for a committed and inspiring Deputy Headteacher to join our team. Someone who has a positive attitude towards self-improvement and a commitment to collaboration and sharing best practice.

We are a school that is keen to continue to grow and develop, to take risks and be innovative, with teaching and learning. These things are all based on our Christian Values of ‘Faith. Hope and Love’, which are central to all that we do.

We are keen to meet and discuss the role with people who are:

  • passionate, dynamic and reflective practitioners
  •         committed to children’s achievement and progress, irrelevant of their starting points
  •          innovative and imaginative in creating memorable learning experiences
  •          dedicated and nurturing, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  •          willing to work in a team and contribute to the wider life of the school
  •          able to promote our Christian Values
  •          experienced working across the First School age range
  •          experienced working with children with additional needs
  •          experienced in leading core subject areas
  •          outstanding classroom practitioners

We welcome applications from experienced leaders and those looking to take the next step in their career. We can offer a committed team, a supportive and positive community, inspiring children and as one child recently remarked, "a place where all ideas matter."

If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience, then apply now by completing the My New Term online application form.

The Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All applicants will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
