Contract Type: Permanent

Pay Grade: Grade G8 to G12

Full Time Salary: £26,824 to £28,598

Actual Salary: £17,064.18 to £18,192.71

Hours: 27.50 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Starting: 1 September 2026

 

We have a unique opportunity to  appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (SEND, Learning Mentor, Family Support to work with our children in our school, focusing on providing a high level of support to our teaching team alongside supporting  in SEND, Learning Mentoring and Family support. 

We are a small, village school that prides itself on the approach to all aspects of school life being founded in our school values of love, fellowship and respect. We have a passion and love for nature, and outdoor learning is part of the curriculum offer for all children in the school. The learning environments both inside and outside the school are inviting, engaging and nurturing. We show our love of God’s natural world through our creation themed internal decoration and external offerings of Forest School, an outdoor classroom and covered learning areas.

 

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable and friendly
  • Is compassionate, patient and child-centered
  • will ensure all children feel safe, happy and able to learn,
  • will create a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
  • understands how to tackle challenging behaviour in children with respect and understanding, following the school’s Behaviour Policy.
  • is supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
  • understands our children and our community and who is able to build supportive and respectful relationships with children whilst maintaining confidentiality and following the school’s Code of Conduct.
  • who is prepared to undertake appropriate CPD to develop their skills including First Aid training and annual Safeguarding / Child Protection training.
  • understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare - both at home and in school
  • has experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting.
  • has a strong understanding of SEND (including SEMH needs).
  • has experience delivering interventions and supporting pupil progress.
  • has the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals.
  • has good organisational and administrative skills.
