About this Role

Cranborne CE First School & Nursery offer an Early Morning School Club and we are seeking to appoint an Early Morning Club Leader for this provision from September 2023 for 5hrs per week 7.45am - 8.45am.

Duties will include: 

  • Welcoming children and helping them to settle into the session
  • Maintain accurate signing in register and liaise with parents to take messages for the classrooms
  • Supporting the children in a wide variety of structured and free play, active games and quieter small group activities
  • Clearing away equipment at the end of the session
  • Following procedures to take children to their classes for the start of the school day

We would be very interested to hear from you if you are able to:

  • Confidently interact with children with enthusiasm and patience
  • Build relationships with pupils, staff and parents and show excellent interpersonal skills
  • To meet the social and emotional needs of the children
  • Foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and able to set clear boundaries for children’s behaviour.

Successful applicants will have:

  • A good understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and health & safety procedures
  • A calm and positive approach and a warm personality
  • A childcare qualification or equivalent and experience of working with young children
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • A commitment to excellence in all they do, fostering high expectations of all pupils, including vulnerable groups.
