About this Role

St Chad's Catholic Primary School is looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school. This role is ideal for someone with strong classroom experience, a proactive approach, and a genuine passion for helping pupils reach their full potential.

You will work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver tailored support for individuals and small groups, helping to reinforce learning, manage behaviour, and promote pupil engagement. With your advanced skills and knowledge, you may also take responsibility for leading specific interventions, supporting pupils with additional needs, and contributing to assessment and progress tracking.

In addition to classroom support, you may be asked to cover lessons in the short-term absence of a teacher, demonstrating confidence and initiative in managing the learning environment. Your ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families will be essential in creating a nurturing and inclusive school community.

This is a rewarding and varied role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ academic and personal development, while continuing to grow professionally within a supportive team.

We can offer:

  • Generous 27 days annual leave entitlement, rising to 32 days after 5 years service
  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and successful team
  • Access to Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Networking opportunities.
  • Flexible working patterns
