one of the country’s highest performing primary schools, ranking 22nd out of
nearly 21000 schools in the 2019 KS2 SATS. In 2024 we were ranked the 4th best primary
school in the North of England, and 81st nationally This has led the school to be featured in the
Sunday Times Parent Power lists and is one of the very small number of primary
schools to be awarded World Class School Status by the World Class Schools
Quality Mark.
Since 2020 Marshfield has been part of Carlton
Academy Trust (CAT) which emerged from the outstanding success of Carlton

of staff. All CAT schools are rated
either Outstanding or Good by Ofsted.

bespoke curriculum designed to create an enquiry-based approach to learning,
with inspiring and culturally relevant teaching sequences led by teachers who
are passionate in providing an outstanding primary education.
Marshfield is a
‘Nurturing School’, being the first primary school within the city to achieve
