Key Responsibilities
As a Class Teacher, you will:
- Deliver
engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum,
ensuring breadth and balance across all subjects
- Set clear
learning objectives, provide appropriate challenge, and maintain high expectations
for all pupils
- Create
a positive and disciplined classroom environment that safeguards pupils’
wellbeing
- Differentiate
learning to meet the needs of all abilities and learning styles
- Promote
children’s social, emotional, and cultural development
- Monitor,
assess, and report on pupil progress, using data effectively to inform
teaching
- Manage
classroom resources and evaluate their impact on learning
- Work
collaboratively with support staff, including teaching assistants and
parent helpers
- Build
strong relationships with parents, communicating regularly about pupils’ academic,
social, and emotional progress
- Liaise
with external agencies where appropriate
- Contribute
to wider school life, including staff meetings, CPD, and INSET
- Lead
or support the development of a curriculum area
- Maintain
accurate records, including transition documentation
Qualifications & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Qualified
Teacher Status (QTS) – ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply
- Experience
teaching in a primary school setting
- Strong
curriculum and subject knowledge
- Effective
behaviour management skills
- The
ability to adapt and differentiate teaching to meet diverse needs
