About this Role

To take a pro-active role as a key member of a multi-disciplinary team in the support of pupils and their families. To support the professional work of teachers by providing pastoral support for pupils and advising class teachers of circumstances that may be impacting on the pupil in the school. To assist in tackling underachievement by working in partnership with families, parents, carers and pupils in a school context to enable pupils, particularly the most disadvantages, to have full access to educational opportunities and overcome barriers to learning and participation.
