About this Role

Job Title: Class Teacher

Based at: Campton Academy

Salary/grade Range: MPS

Hours: Full-time

Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) comprises eleven flourishing academies and five nurseries delivering first choice education, from Early Years to Advanced Level study. Our vision is ‘to grow the BEST in everyone.’ We believe in the importance of high expectations, hard work and the development of a community of schools where each of us strive to ‘be the best that we can be.’ Our schools work together to add value and compete to continually improve.

Campton Academy is a successful lower school with a welcoming and supportive ethos.  We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and creative class teacher to start in September 2026.  This is an excellent opportunity to join our popular, friendly school, which is acknowledged for its outstanding teaching and learning, commitment to CPD and the importance it places on staff wellbeing.

We pride ourselves on being an inclusive and welcoming school with strong values.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate high expectations in behaviour and attainment and always put children at the heart of their teaching. You must have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum, how children progress and the ability to inspire and motivate others.  An interest in Art / Music would be advantageous.

A key responsibility will involve promoting children’s welfare and being vigilant to any sign of safeguarding needs.

We can offer you:

·         A welcoming and supportive staff team

·         Children who are enthusiastic, well behaved and keen to achieve

·         A school that is part of a supportive trust

·         The opportunity to make a real difference to the academic and social development of our pupils

Informal visits to our school are warmly welcomed and encouraged; please contact us to arrange an appointment to come and meet with the Principal and see our school in action.

Applications from ECTs are welcome.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy at any time.  Therefore, we encourage early applications to ensure consideration for this post.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a DBS clearance and the Academy must receive two satisfactory references before the successful candidate can commence employment.
