Broad Horizons Education Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our growing team at Bluebell Primary School.

We are a one-form entry primary school in Norwich, near the University of East Anglia, with children from nursery age to Year 6. We pride ourselves on our wonderfully inclusive, diverse school community.

As part of the Broad Horizons Education Trust you will be included in a family of Academies who put the needs of children at the forefront of their education.

We are looking for candidates who will;

  • Be a kind, caring person, who knows that children learn best in an inclusive environment.

  • Have experience in working with children with different learning needs, particularly experience of working with children on the autistic spectrum, ADHD and social and emotional challenges. 

  • Be flexible and adaptable. 

  • Have experience of how to use creative and innovative strategies to engage children in school life and learning. 

  • Have patience and resilience when dealing with children who demonstrate challenging behaviours.

  • Have excellent communication skills.

  • Be able to work individually and as part of a team.

Working as a Teaching Assistant is a great opportunity of gaining experience and is becoming a preferred method for prospective teachers to successfully secure places in either Teaching Schools or on a PGCE course.
