TA for ASD Specialist Resource Base

Scale E7-11 £25,584 - £27,269 pro rata salary (Actual Salary £19,243 - £20,511)

8.30am- 3.30pm (including 30 minutes for lunch)

Term Time plus one week

This is an exciting opportunity to join our amazing Specialist Resource Base team. 

We have a ten place SRB unit, for pupils on the autistic spectrum. Our goal is to support them to be able to take part in mainstream classes as much as possible. 

By working in the base, you will get the chance to develop your skills and knowledge for supporting pupils with ASD, through the skill of the team in school, and with the wider SRB teams for Norfolk County Council and our specialist partners. By supporting the pupils into mainstream, you will also gain experience working within mainstream primary provision.

We need a passionate and determined TA to work with our wonderful pupils in our Autism SRB. You will work with them in small groups in the base, or support them with their learning in mainstream. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the pupils EHCP targets are met, and their social and emotional skills developed. 

 You will:

• Be a kind, caring person, who knows that children learn best in an inclusive environment.

• Have experience or interest in working with children with different learning needs, particularly experience of working with children on the autistic spectrum.

• Have experience of or ideas about how to use creative and innovative strategies to engage children in school life and learning. 

• Have patience and resilience when dealing with children who demonstrate challenging behaviours.

• Have excellent communication skills.

• Be able to work individually and as part of a team.
