If so, Richard
Barnes Academy would love to hear from you!
Your role:
As an Intervention Associate Tutor,
you will play a vital part in helping students re-engage with learning, rebuild
confidence, and reconnect with a positive educational experience. You will run
short-term reset programmes designed to help secondary learners reintegrate
successfully into their lessons, working closely with teachers, senior leaders,
outside agencies and families to support each student’s personalised pathway.
You’ll provide targeted academic,
emotional and behavioural support to individuals or small groups, using
positive relationships and consistent, non‑confrontational behaviour
management. You will model high expectations, communicate with sensitivity, and
create a nurturing, stimulating and safe environment that supports progress and
wellbeing.
To excel in this role, you’ll bring
experience of supporting learners with a range of needs, particularly those
with barriers to learning such as SEMH or SEND. You’ll be confident supporting
literacy and numeracy, skilled at building trusting relationships, reflective
in your practice, and ready to work collaboratively across a dedicated and
compassionate team.
