The Role

Watling Academy is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to help maintain a highquality environment across our growing school community. This is a varied, practical and highly valued role at the heart of the Academy, ensuring that our buildings remain safe, clean and inviting throughout the day.

As our Housekeeper, you will play a key part in keeping the Academy running smoothly, supporting both daily operations and special events, and working closely with our Site & Caretaking Coordinator and wider site team. You will:

·        Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all student, staff and public areas.

·        Keep internal and external spaces tidy, including litter collection and bin emptying.

·        Ensure Reception and Leadership areas are consistently presentable for visitors.

·        Monitor cleaning supplies and liaise with the Site & Caretaking Coordinator and outsourced cleaning teams.

·        Follow all health and safety procedures, including COSHH and manual handling requirements.

·        Support small kitchen areas, ensuring good hygiene, correct waste disposal and daily dishwasher use.

·        Assist with event setup and cleardown, and report any defects or issues promptly.

This is a key opportunity to contribute to a thriving and expanding school community, including our newly launched Sixth Form. If you’re a dependable team player with a strong work ethic, an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
