Full Time Secondary Science and/or Maths Teacher required for our Communication and Interaction School

The role will include being a form tutor, planning and delivering learning in Science and/or Maths within the secondary phase of the school with some work with primary phase pupils. All of our staff also support the delivery of our bespoke social communication curriculum and work to develop life skills for pupils preparing them for their transition to adult life.
The Fusion Academy, a school for children and young people aged 7-19 with communication and interaction needs and/or autism. The school has just achieved its final stage of growth and is offering support to 90 pupils. We are located in a purpose built school in Barwell. The Fusion Academy is part of a Multi Academy Trust called Open Thinking Partnership.
A flexible solution focussed approach to teaching young people of mainstream academic ability while addressing their communication and interaction barriers to learning is crucial.
Salary - M Scale to UPS with SEN 1/2 allowance (depending on experience within specialist settings) - as a practitioner you will work with the other Science and Maths leads within school to develop GCSE and Entry Level qualifications. Teaching will be across the secondary phase with some opportunities to gain an overview of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
The start date for this position is 20th August 2025 . The induction period will take place during the summer break and the dates will be confirmed if successful.
