About this Role

After successfully opening in September 2020, our school has continued to grow each year and we are now reaching it's maximum capacity. Therefore, we are looking to appoint a new teacher as we fill our final class. This role will likely be in Key Stage 2 and would suit an experienced practitioner with some leadership experience.  It is very important that the right candidate fits in well with our school's ethos and culture.

This is a fantastic prospect for an enthusiastic, competent and creative professional who is willing to work with us to improve the life chances of our pupils, contribute positively to our inclusive community and benefit from the opportunities for high-quality training and development that we offer.

Visits to our school are encouraged, so please get in touch if this role is of interest to you.

About The Leadership:

As part of our school's vision for preparing pupils to thrive in today's world, our educational culture is built upon 4 concepts:

·       High Academic Standards- to have the courage to aim high and persevere in all learning, developing our pupils to read, write and communicate well.

·       Experiential Learning- to help our children for joy in their learning and drive their curiosity about the world in which they live.

·       Enriching and Empowering Opportunities- to help our children understand where they fit into our society and gain a sense of empowerment and demonstrating kindness to their various communities.

·       Complimentary Technology- to develop our pupils’ skills, awareness and attitudes in an increasingly digital world and promote digital creativity and accessibility for all.

We are looking for a leader who shares our vision, and has a proven track record of leading school initiatives. The successful candidate will work as part of the Senior Leadership Team to drive a core curriculum subject, ensuring that it aligns with our experiential approach to learning as well as enhancing some of the more traditional learning methods, thus and making the curriculum accessible to every pupil.

The senior leadership element of the role will include phase leadership (likely to be upper or lower key stage 2), and will entail leading a team consisting of 2 year groups and include duties such as holding phase meetings, supporting colleagues and joining SLT meetings.

To support the leadership, we will offer:

  • A supportive leadership team who supports these aims and will share the responsibility of the whole school development
  • Regular coaching/mentoring with the HT or DHT to support you in your role
  • Dedicated weekly management time to drive the project, support staff and monitor impact
  • A school with fantastic resources, hardworking ambitious pupils and supportive parents
  • Leadership support from the Primary First Trust's experts in digital learning

Experience of phase leadership or core subject leadership may be a benefit, however we are looking for the right person primarily.  That is: someone who shares our school's vision and can plan a route to make it a reality; someone committed to preparing our pupils to thrive in life; someone  who is keen to learn and grow as part of this journey.

If you are interested in the role, please make an appointment to visit us and meet with Mr Clayton to find out more about our ambitious plan.

About The Teaching:

We are looking for an inclusive practitioner who is passionate about making a difference. This is someone who is proactive and well-organised, with high expectations and a commitment to achieving the best outcomes for our pupils. You should be an excellent communicator and team player, and you will be able to give our pupils the skills and experiences to enable them to be confident, independent, and active learners as they continue their journey towards a full, successful, and happy life.

You will be able to:

  • Show a detailed knowledge of the development and progression of subject(s) taught and keep up to date with developments in pedagogy for the subject(s) taught.
  • Set appropriate and demanding targets for pupils' learning and motivation, identifying clear teaching objectives, content, structure and sequences to ensure all pupils can reach their potential in the subject taught and in literacy, numeracy and ICT.
  • Use teaching methods that keep pupils engaged, including stimulating curiosity, effective questioning and response, clear presentation, and good use of resources.
  • Secure high standards of pupil behaviour through well-focused teaching, establishing appropriate rules which pupils respect, and dealing with inappropriate behaviour in line with the behaviour policy.
  • Build supportive relationships with parents.

If you are a teacher, who can make learning fun, engaging and memorable, while being reflective and continually seeks to improve your practice, we would love to hear from you.
