About this Role

At Aspire School, we are proud to be a specialist provision for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and speech, language, and communication needs. We believe learning must be personalised, meaningful, and aspirational for every child.

As a specialist provision for children with ASD and speech, language and communication needs we believe that learning for our pupils needs to be relevant to them and build upon their individual starting points. We are therefore looking for a Teacher who shares our vision and wishes to help develop and teach the children a relevant, individual and aspirational curriculum.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with experience teaching pupils with ASD and/or speech, language, and communication needs
  • Has knowledge and experience of using the Engagement Model
  • Has experience of working in Early Years or working with profound, severe and complex needs.
  • Is confident delivering a therapeutic, play-based curriculum and is not afraid to get messy!
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with pupils, colleagues, and families
  • Works well as part of a supportive team
  • Has a positive outlook and a good sense of humour
  • Promotes our school values of nurturing, creative and potential.
