About this Role

The Governing Body of Hucknall National C of E Primary School invites applications for the position of Class Teacher to join our dedicated and thriving school community. This is a full-time appointment, suitable for both Early Career Teachers and experienced practitioners.

Hucknall National is a unique and nurturing primary school where staff are valued, supported, and encouraged to excel. We are committed to providing an exceptional learning environment in which every child can flourish.

We are seeking:

  • A highly skilled classroom practitioner — committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning
  • A collaborative team member — who contributes positively to a professional and supportive culture
  • A teacher with enthusiasm, creativity and resilience — and who brings a positive presence to the school
  • An educator who champions every child — ensuring all pupils reach their full potential

We are looking for an individual who demonstrates energy, empathy and professional ambition, and who can quickly establish themselves as an integral part of our school. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding educational experiences and uphold the values that define Hucknall National.

We offer:

  • Engaged, well‑behaved and enthusiastic pupils who are eager to learn
  • A committed and welcoming staff team who work collaboratively for the benefit of all
  • A leadership team focused on staff development and wellbeing
  • Strong support from governors, parents and the local Church community
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives, including reduced workload strategies, protected planning time, “me time” opportunities and complimentary staff lunches. Our aim is for every member of our community to thrive and live “life in all its fullness” (John 10:10).

Visits to the school are warmly encouraged. Our Headteacher, Sarah, will be more than happy to provide a tour, discuss the role in more detail and talk through your career aspirations. To arrange a visit, please contact the school office. To request an application pack, please email office@hnp.snmat.org.uk.

Hucknall National C of E Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
