As a Teaching Assistant within this specialist provision, you won't just be supporting learning—you will be helping to shape a safe, inspiring, and inclusive world for our pupils.

    About the Role

Working under the expert guidance of our ASC Manager, SENDCo, and Headteacher, you will play a pivotal role in the daily lives of our children. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Delivering creative and tailored educational activities designed to meet individual learning styles.

    • Attending to the educational, personal, and social needs of the pupils to foster independence and confidence.

    • Supporting emotional regulation and communication using innovative, child-centred strategies.

    • Collaborating with a dedicated team to maintain a safe, predictable, and stimulating environment.

    What We Are Looking For

We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual who is passionate about special educational needs. Beyond qualifications, we are looking for specific personal qualities that will make you a perfect fit for Orchard Class:

    • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (specifically autism/ASC) is highly desirable.

    • An innate understanding of the diverse needs of autistic children, paired with a patient, calm, and nurturing approach.

    • A dedication to inclusive education and a genuine desire to see every child achieve their full potential.

    • The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations with a positive, solution-focused attitude.

    • Excellent communication skills to work effectively alongside teachers and parents.

We offer comprehensive support, opportunities for professional development, and the immense fulfillment that comes from watching your pupils hit milestones they never thought possible.

    Come and see for yourself!

We warmly welcome and encourage informal visits to our school so you can see our wonderful ASC Provision in action.

Hours are 8.30 - 3.30 Monday to Friday, term time only plus 5 INSET days.
