About this Role

Teaching Assistant - Nursery EYFS

30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.45am - 3.15pm (possible overtime available between 7.30am - 8.45am and 3.15pm and 6pm)

Fixed term until 31st August 2027

Grade 1 SCP 3-4

We are a small, friendly Church of England primary school with a strong sense of community and mixed-age classes. We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS team. You will support the EYFS team in delivering high-quality provision, ensuring all children feel safe, supported and inspired to learn.

Key Responsibilities:
Support teaching and learning within the EYFS setting
Work with individuals and small groups to develop early learning skills
Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing
Contribute to a stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment
Support observation, assessment and record keeping
Assist with phonics, early reading and number development
Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team

We are looking for someone who:

Enjoys working with young children and understands how they learn through play and exploration 

Is patient, kind and flexible

Can work effectively as part of a small, close knit team

Has experience working with children

Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children 

Essential Requirements:
DfE recognised Level 3 Early Years qualification
Experience of working with young children in an early years setting
Good understanding of the EYFS Framework
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A nurturing, patient and positive approach to supporting children

Extra hours in the school wraparound care are available.
