Keyingham Primary School is seeking to appoint a Level
3, EYFS Learning Support Assistant to join our Foundation Stage team. Keyingham Primary School is part of The
Consortium Academy Trust. We are ambitious about the future, creating learning
environments and excellence in teaching and learning that provide our children
and young people with the best chance at a successful future. Coupled with this
is the commitment, care and investment in our people, who we believe are our
greatest asset. If you are a team player who is looking
for a varied and interesting new career opportunity within a Foundation Stage
Unit, then we want to hear from you!
About the
Role
As a level 3 EYFS Learning Support
Assistant, you will play an active role in supporting high quality teaching and
learning within the Foundation Stage Unit. You will contribute to the planning,
delivery and evaluation of engaging, child-initiated learning experiences that
support children in achieving the Early Learning Goals. You will take
responsibility for leading targeted activities and intervention groups,
including daily phonics teaching, using assessment information to support pupil
progress and close gaps in learning. Working closely with the EYFS Lead and
wider team, you will use your professional judgement to observe, assess and
adapt provision to meet the developmental needs of all learners.
The role requires a proactive and
reflective practitioner who can create a safe, stimulating and inclusive
learning environment. You will support pupils’ social, emotional and
behavioural development, using the Thrive Approach to promote wellbeing and positive
engagement. You will also contribute to the planning and implementation of
support for pupils with SEND, working collaboratively with the SEND team and
external professionals where required.
About You
The successful candidate will have previous practical experience of working
within a Foundation Stage Unit within a school setting. Candidates will also be
educated to GCSE standard pass rates with a minimum of a Level 3 relevant
qualification.
You will demonstrate a secure understanding of the EYFS framework and early
years pedagogy, including how to plan and adapt continuous and enhanced
provision to meet children’s developmental needs, and be confident in applying
this to support high-quality teaching and learning. A strong understanding of
synthetic phonics is essential, alongside experience of delivering targeted
interventions.
You will be a proactive and reflective practitioner, able to
work independently using initiative while also contributing effectively as part
of a team. You will have the ability to assess pupil needs, adapt provision and
implement strategies that support progress and development.
Strong communication skills are
essential, as is the ability to build positive relationships with pupils,
families and colleagues. A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and promoting
pupil wellbeing is essential, alongside a willingness to contribute to the
wider life of the school.
What WE can
Offer YOU
In return for your skills and
experience, we provide a supportive and friendly environment to develop and
thrive. We offer all staff access to an excellent pension (TPS/LGPS); a
