About this Role

We are looking to appoint a friendly, organised and hardworking Site Supervisor to our school team. We are proud of our school and hope that the successful candidate will take pride in their work and work with us to create a wonderful environment for our students, staff and visitors.  Working under the direction of the School Business Manager you will contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of caretaking duties, including security of the site, health & safety management and premise maintenance, plus line management of site teams.  The role includes opening and closing the site so would suit a local person.  

This is a highly valued and responsible position and it is essential that the successful candidate can demonstrate:

Although set hours will be allocated, some flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the school. The post holder will be required to work the school holidays. 

Qualifications and skills:

  • The successful candidate will not be required to have formal qualifications or experience as full training can be provided, although relevant experience would be an advantage
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills are required

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Basic DIY/Repair skills such a plumbing, joinery and decorating
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Awareness of Health & Safety issues
  • Experience of COSHH and Risk Assessments
  • Management of people

    Hours of work:  35 per week, 52 weeks per year

    Shift Patterns: Mixture of morning and afternoon shifts to be confirmed with successful candidate.  Morning: 07:00 – 14:30.  Afternoon: 10:30 – 18:00

    Contract:  Permanent to commence in August 2026

    Actual salary range: £ 26,403 to £ 28,143 (Pro-rata salary £24,975)
