About this Role

If you have a passion for improving the life chances of our children, then this could be the role for you. The Oaks Academy is a vibrant, forward thinking 11-16 school, we are committed to providing a high-quality inclusive education for students of whom over forty per cent are multi-lingual.
We are seeking to appoint an LRC Manager and Literacy Intervention Practitioner which is suitable for a qualified primary specialist, secondary specialist or skilled and appropriately qualified practitioner. We are looking to develop our provision of phonics, reading and writing teaching. The role will require you to promote literacy across the school, as well as to lead small intervention groups particularly for those with low levels of literacy. The role will also involve supporting the effective provision of the Learning Resource Centre, which is at the heart of the school.

Hours of work: 37 per week, full time hours during term time.  
Weeks: 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)
Salary: Actual salary range: £ 28,599 to £ 31,023 (Pro rata salary £24, 676 - 26,767 per annum)
