Carlinghow Academy’s Additionally Resourced Provision supports children with complex Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and their families. Our specialist setting works with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils from Kirklees schools, helping them thrive in a nurturing and structured environment.

We believe every child deserves an education of excellence. At Carlinghow Academy, we have high expectations and a relentless focus on improving teaching and learning so every child can maximise their potential and enhance their life chances.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet highly rewarding position where you will:

  • Work collaboratively with teachers and a specialist team to create a positive climate for learning.
  • Assess individual needs and deliver tailored learning activities that build skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Support children’s emotional well-being and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Engage with families and professionals to build trust and ensure the best outcomes for every child.

What We’re Looking For

Someone who is passionate about inclusion and committed to making a difference. You will:

  • Be a team player, working alongside teachers, support staff, and external professionals.
  • Organise and deliver individual and small-group interventions.
  • Build strong relationships with parents/carers to foster confidence and trust.

What We Offer

  • Wonderful children with a desire to learn.
  • A highly skilled, supportive team and senior leadership.
  • Bespoke professional development to help you ‘reach great heights’.

If you’re ready to take on a role that transforms lives and gives every child the chance to succeed, we’d love to hear from you!

Carlinghow Academy is committed to safeguarding personal data. Any information provided during the recruitment process will be processed in accordance with UK GDPR and our privacy policy. No personal details about the child will be shared during recruitment.
