About the Role

As a Foundation Governor, you will:

· Uphold and promote the school’s Christian ethos, reflecting our heritage as a Church of England school.

· Support and challenge the school’s leadership to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils.

· Oversee key areas such as curriculum, safeguarding, finance, and staffing, with real influence over school decisions.

· Work collaboratively with other local governors and trust leaders, representing the interests of the local community and the Diocese.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from individuals who:

· Are committed to supporting the religious character of the school.

· Have a passion for primary education and a desire to contribute to our school’s continued success.

· Bring skills or experience in areas such as education, finance, HR, law, safeguarding, or community engagement (although prior board experience is not required).

· Are willing to undertake training and actively participate in approximately 6–8 hours of governance activity per month (term time only). Meetings are set in advance to help manage busy diaries.
