Apprentice Teaching Assistant at St Giles' Spencer Academy

St Giles Spencer Academy is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Additional Needs Teaching Assistant to start 1st September 2026 on a full-time, fixed-term basis. As an Apprentice SEN Teaching Assistant you will be required to support a child with special educational needs throughout their school day, both in the classroom and during their break times whilst you are supported to increasingly develop your knowledge and understanding, skills and professional behaviours.

Specific knowledge, skills and experience in supporting non-verbal pupils with autism and sensory needs would be an advantage. You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, be an effective team member and be calm and creative in your approach to working with pupils with additional needs.
