About this Role

Our new nursery offering gives an amazing opportunity for staff to contribute to the development of our youngest children. As a new offering, this will allow all new team members to not only contribute day to day but into the development of the overall provision. It will offer growth opportunities for staff and children alike and will give those that work in and attend the setting and "let their light shine"

This is an opportunity for early years practitioners/educators or those with EY or KS1 experience to join us and help shape the education and development of the youngest children at Polehampton.

We are also offering wraparound care provision, so there is the opportunity to work longer sessions before and after school as well.

Core hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (part time positions are available as well). Wraparound care is 07:30 - 08:45 and 15:15 to 18:00.

Main job purpose

Early Years Educators (EYEs) are an essential part of the school community. EYEs are utilised as skilled professionals who make a real difference to the outcomes of the youngest children in our school community. The role requires EYEs to work under the guidance of excellent and knowledgeable teaching staff, providing learning support to individuals and groups that enable access to learning for all children. They must also take ownership and initiative to move on the learning of children and support children's’ needs.

 Overview:

·         To provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social and intellectual care for children in the setting.

·         To work as part of a team to provide an enabling environment in which all individual children can play, develop and learn.

·         To ensure the health and safety of EYFS children during the lunch break

Visits are warmly welcomed and encouraged.
