About this Role

Grade: CD (point 3-6)

Hours: 37 hours per week (Term Time Only)

Brayton Church of England Primary School is a school with friendly and dedicated staff who always put the needs of our children first. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teaching Assistant for our Targeted Mainstream Provision. You would join our Lead Teacher in establishing our provision based in our vibrant primary schools, becoming a key champion for inclusive education for all our children. This model supports children in small-group focussed work within a nurturing space, with planned opportunities to join their mainstream peers for key times. Your work will include planning and delivering learning at individual and small group level within this space as well as support in the wider school setting. You will be working as part of a small team with a TMP Leader who works between Tadcaster Riverside Primary School and Brayton, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, and other teaching assistants.

Our TMP will be an exciting development for North Yorkshire and the Selby locality. Based in Brayton CofE Primary School in Selby, our vision is to provide a bespoke educational setting for up to eight children with EHCPs within inclusive mainstream settings. This is a unique opportunity to grow vital provision for our children, with the support of experienced professionals in each school and alongside the wider Trust team and key members of the North Yorkshire SEND team.

The hours will also include 2 sessions working with the team in our thriving after school provision. The hours of work will be 8:45-3:15 on 3 days (the school working day); and 8:45-5:30 on 2 days (to include the club session).  Although our ideal would be for a full time member of staff, we are happy to consider requests for part time working as long as these fit with our school's needs.

Brayton Church of England Primary School is a great place to work; we are offering the opportunity to be part of an enthusiastic team with highly effective teaching assistants who are committed to enhancing the experiences of all our students, whilst being a good team player. Brayton Church of England Primary School is part of Yorkshire Learning Trust which is strengthening our existing partnership with other local schools.
