St Nicholas CofE Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school in Hurst village that aims to ensure all members of the St Nicholas community have a positive and fulfilling experience with a strong focus on kindness and respect for all.  Our most recent Ofsted inspection (October 2023) noted that “staff work hard to ensure that pupils feel safe and happy” and that “the school grounds and rural location are well used to develop the wider curriculum.” In 2025, SIAMS inspectors highlighted that “inspired by the vision, leaders ensure that wellbeing is a high priority throughout the school… The result is a rich culture of nurture and care which permeates the school.”

We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic KS1 teacher to work 1 day per week to take up this exciting opportunity and join our supportive and friendly team.

The successful candidate will:

·        Be an outstanding teacher who inspires and motivates young learners

·        Deliver creative, engaging learning opportunities within a knowledge‑led curriculum

·        Have high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour

·        Work effectively both independently and as part of a team

·        Promote our Christian ethos, vision and values

In return, we offer:

·        A welcoming school with a nurturing, caring ethos

·        A small cohort of well‑behaved children who are enthusiastic and eager to learn

·        Excellent support from an experienced and committed staff team

·        Strong leadership team dedicated to ongoing professional growth

·        Opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across our family of schools through Trust‑wide CPD and networking

As a member of The Keys Academy Trust, the successful applicant will have access to high quality professional development, leadership training and career progression.

Please note: All applications and responses must be completed personally by the applicant and not generated by AI or automated tools.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced criminal records check.

We are an Equal Opportunities employer and welcome applications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other legally protected status
