This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a rewarding role and really make a difference in a supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified SENCo (or in the process of obtaining NPQ SENCo) and will have an excellent knowledge of child development. They will:
Effectively deliver an inspiring curriculum, to a class of approximately 30 pupils, but be flexible to work across the Academy
Ensure that pupils make excellent progress in relation to national expectations
Contribute to the strong Catholic ethos of our Academy.
Meet pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural needs as well as their pastoral and welfare needs
Work in partnership with pupils, staff, parents, representatives, directors and primary MAC partners
Have foundation subject coordinator responsibilities
Have a proven track record in improving attendance and attainment for students with SEN
Coordinate assessments, referrals and interventions for students with SEN and Disabilities, including ASD & ADHD
Work in multi-agency teams around the child, including parents, to ensure that pupils’ needs are identified and met and as a result, pupils with SEND needs thrive.
Our teachers are employed under the terms and conditions for Teachers and we continue to be part of Teachers’ Pensions.
