Bishop Ullathorne Catholic School is part of the Holy Cross Catholic Multi Academy Company along with Cardinal Newman Catholic Secondary School and Christ the King, St Augustine’s, St Thomas More, St Elizabeth’s and St John Vianney Catholic Primary Schools which are all located in Coventry. Our Academy moto is “Achieving together in Faith”.
We have a fantastic commitment to professional development and believe that the right person can make a real difference. We spend dedicated time on professional development through pedagogy led sessions, breakouts, coaching and other professional activities.

The Geography Department at our school is a flourishing team who are committed to working together to provide high standards, innovative and inspirational teaching and the best possible curriculum opportunities for all pupils. The team of 3 full time teaching staff work extremely closely. The combination of experience and youth generates a creative and dynamic team of specialists, who enjoy working together and sharing good practice.
The Department is highly respected, both within the school and the city. Teaching and learning are at least good and often excellent. Geography staff are knowledgeable and present work in a way that motivates and interest pupils. The Department use a variety of strategies to engage pupils and their work is structured to challenge pupils at all levels of attainment. Pupils respond well to the high expectations of the teachers.
