The Local Governing Body of St. Augustine’s Catholic Primary School, with the support of Holy Cross Catholic Multi Academy Company, are seeking to appoint a Leader of English to support the school improvement cycle of our proud and successful school.

Core Purpose:

  • To carry out professional duties and to have responsibility for an assigned class.
  • To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the children, during on-site and off-site activities
  • To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its ethos and philosophy of education
  • To work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, governors, other staff and external agencies in the best interests of children
  • To be accountable for leading, managing and developing English across the school
  • To have a positive impact on English progress and outcomes
  • To lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of others
