2. We have capacity for 300 pupils.
About The Role
As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will support pupils within the classroom and our SEND provision, helping to create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive
You will receive on-the-job training and support throughout your apprenticeship while studying towards your qualification.
- Valuable experience in the SEND classroom/provision.
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to access learning and participate fully in school life.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.
- Support pupils with communication, language, emotional regulation and social interaction.
- Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and resilience.
- Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with personal care where required, maintaining dignity and promoting independence. Help prepare learning resources and maintain a stimulating learning environment.
About You
- We are looking for someone who is:
- A practising
Catholic or someone who will fully support our Catholic ethos and values.
- Is passionate
about working with children and young people.
- Has an interest in supporting pupils with SEND.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can maintain confidentiality and act professionally at all times
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
