About this Role

We are looking for Lunchtime Playworkers and Extended School Assistants to support our:

Breakfast Club team

After School Club team

Lunchtime Playworker team

This is a wonderful opportunity to play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and fun environment where our children can thrive. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and wants to be part of a supportive school community.

Hours to be agreed:

Breakfast Club: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 8.30am, term time only.

Lunchtime: Monday to Friday, 12.00pm to 1.15pm, term time only.

After School Club: Monday to Friday, 3.00pm to 6.00pm, term time only.

The posts will be temporary in the first instance.

Whether you are a student interested in work outside of college/university hours, you currently work in childcare and looking for additional hours, a fresh challenge or you are looking to launch your career in childcare, we would love to hear from you.

The role involves:

The provision of a happy and safe environment for all staff and pupils. Fully supported by our Lead Playworker and a dedicated school support team, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Breakfast Club and/or Lunchtime and/or After School Club, ensuring all activities are delivered to the school’s high standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children in your care to explore and grow!

The successful applicant should have: 

  • excellent communication skills with young children
  • the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team
  • the ability to organise and teach children to play game
