About this Role

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional health needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Personal Health Care Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a named pupil with personal healthcare needs within a primary school setting. 

This role is part time - 7.5 hours per week - Term time only - Ffixed term until 31st August 2027

You will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure the pupil receives consistent, dignified, and safe care throughout the school day and during school trips. This includes:

Supporting personal healthcare routines (e.g. toileting, feeding, tracheostomy care, medication administration)

Promoting independence and wellbeing

Maintaining accurate medical records and care plans

Collaborating with families and external agencies

Upholding confidentiality and safeguarding standards

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants who are:

Experienced in school, care, or healthcare settings

Qualified in GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above)

Willing to undertake training in First Aid, Safeguarding, and Tracheostomy care

Compassionate, resilient, and able to respond calmly in emergency situations

Skilled in communication, teamwork, and record-keeping
