About this Role

Brookfield Primary School Champions wish to appoint a hardworking, caring, nurturing Lunchtime Supervisor to join our school.  You will work with a team to ensure that our children have a happy, active and safe lunchtime.  A first aid qualification and experience of working with children is desirable.

Working at Brookfield Primary School, you will be part of the LEARNERs’ Trust, a large Multi Academy Trust operating across, Derby, Derbyshire and Rotherham. The Trust is a close community of schools that collaborate at every level to support the achievement of pupils and staff.

The candidate should support our innovative, exciting approach to playtime learning. We are looking for someone who has high expectations and is committed to engaging pupils with their play, has the ability to reflect upon and improve their own practice, has energy and a sense of humour and will embrace the ethos of our school – Welcoming, Achieving, Respecting and Magical.  Safeguarding and continued professional development will be an expectation, as well as attendance at some Inset Days.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person.

Please note that we are required to have references prior to interviews taking place due to safeguarding regulations, so references will be requested for all shortlisted candidates prior to interviews.  You may also be subjected to online checks.

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and applicants. Applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

We would warmly encourage you to contact the school on: (01332 516459) and to speak with Mrs Katy Smith (Headteacher) about the role

Duties are listed on the job description but any additional duties will be commensurate with the grade and needs of the school.
