About this Role

Join a Team That is Committed to ‘Building Brighter Futures’ at Paxman Academy

Are you a collaborative professional who thrives in a supportive community? Ready to help students fulfil their full potential during their exams?

At Paxman Academy, we're dedicated to creating an ordered, stimulating learning environment where every student is valued, respected, and encouraged to achieve their best.

We are searching for an exceptional Exam Invigilator to join our team on a casual (as and when) basis. You will play a vital role in our community by supervising students and ensuring the safe, fair, and efficient conduct of external examinations in accordance with national regulations.

Whether you have experience in an educational setting or are looking for a flexible role that supports your community, we offer a supportive environment where you can make a real impact.

A Day in the Life:

You'll be responsible for bringing reliability and attention to detail to the following areas:

  • Assisting with getting examination candidates into the examination hall and seated in the correct place.

  • Ensuring that the examination hall is correctly set up and equipped for the examination.

  • Assisting with examination administration, such as attendance registers and seating plans.

  • Ensuring the integrity of the examination through 'active' invigilation, maintaining examination conditions while candidates and/or papers remain in the venue.

What We're Looking For:
You are the perfect fit for our team if you have:

  • Good reading and writing skills, alongside the ability to count and undertake basic calculations.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time effectively.

  • The ability to follow instructions precisely and complete basic forms accurately.

  • A commitment to maintaining a respectful, trusting, and supportive environment for all students.

Please see the attached Job Description and Person Specification for full details.
