Purpose:

As our KS1 or KS2 Class Teacher, you will deliver high quality and effective teaching that ensures pupils make good or better progress within an engaging and well organised learning environment. You will share our commitment to growing confident, ambitious learners and utilise evidence informed research to develop your craft and secure strong outcomes for all pupils. You will work collaboratively with our solution focussed team, communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, and bring a relentless belief that every child can and will succeed.

Duties (further details in the attached application pack):

  • Deliver high quality and effective learning and teaching to ensure pupils make good or better progress.
  • Meet the Teachers' Standards as outlined by the Department for Education.
  • Plan, monitor and evaluate effective and differentiated programmes of work, including homework, in line with school expectations.
  • Assess, record and report on children's development, progress and attainment while setting clear targets.
  • Identify and support pupils with special educational needs (SEND) and make reasonable adjustments within the classroom.
  • Develop positive relationships with parents and meet with them a minimum of three times per year to review progress.
  • Maintain a well organised, safe and tidy learning environment with a high standard of display.
  • Take responsibility for your own professional development by keeping up to date with current research.
  • Organise a minimum of two curriculum focused visits per year for your class in collaboration with your year group partner.
  • Follow school safeguarding policies by logging concerns and supporting the welfare of all pupils.
