We are looking for a passionate and experienced Internal Provision Leader to join our team and lead an innovative ‘Ready to Learn’ provision supporting children with additional needs to develop the skills to help them be successful in the classroom.

About the Role:

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in creating an inclusive and supportive school environment for children who are currently unable to access their main learning in the classroom. You will manage a ‘Ready to Learn’ provision focused on improving children’s social and emotional skills and supporting them to begin to engage in more formal classroom based learning opportunities. You will also work collaboratively with school staff to develop and implement long-term strategies to foster a culture of belonging and inclusion for all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the ‘Ready to Learn’ provision in order to support their success at school.
  • Develop a learning environment designed to suit the needs of the children using it.
  • Work alongside teaching staff to ensure the implementation of children who have an EHCP and those on the SEND register.
  • Developing and delivering targeted interventions and support programs.
  • Monitoring children’s progress and measuring the impact of the provision.
  • Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support for children who attend the Ready to Learn provision.
  • Build strong relationships with children, fostering trust and open communication.
  • Advocate for the needs of children with additional needs within the school community.
  • Support the development and delivery of training sessions for school staff on best practices for working with children with neurodiversity and high levels of additional needs, fostering a more inclusive learning environment.
  • With the Senior Leadership Team, monitor and evaluate the school's overall inclusion strategy, recommending and implementing improvement.
  • Compile and analyse data to track pupil progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Prepare reports for the senior leadership team on the provision’s progress and impact.
  • Be flexible to provide cover or support children, groups or classes as directed by the Headteacher or Line Manager.

Person Specification:

  • Creativity and an enthusiasm to work with neurodiverse and complex additional needs in an educational setting.
  • A passion for inclusion and a strong commitment to social justice.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to plan, implement, and monitor progress.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, staff, and parents.
  • Data analysis skills and the ability to interpret and use data to inform decision-making.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Team teach trained is desirable but the school is willing to provide this training.

We will ensure that the successful candidate has:

  • The opportunity to access coaching to support growth and development within the role.
  • Continuous professional learning, development and improvement.
  • The opportunity to contribute to raising standards for some of our most disadvantaged children.
