Daven Primary School prides itself on being an inclusive community where every member is valued and treated with mutual respect. Our core values — Brave, Kind and Curious — sit at the heart of everything we do, shaping both our curriculum and our daily school life.

The Learning Partnership, together with the Headteacher, is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an exceptional ECT to join our team. We are looking for a skilled candidate who is committed to our vision and values, is reliable and resilient, and is passionate about helping our children to thrive.

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated individuals who work well as part of a team and are committed to supporting the diverse needs of our pupils.

If you are motivated caring, and driven to inspire young minds, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • ·         Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
  • ·         Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • ·         Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils and demonstrate good subject and National Curriculum knowledge.
  • ·         Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  • ·         Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum and pupil development to secure co-ordinated outcomes.
  • ·         Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures, to support the school’s values and vision.

The successful applicant will have a high level of expertise of the National Curriculum and its effective delivery.  They will demonstrate a sound understanding of children’s attitudes and achievements, along with proven experience in developing and implementing effective behaviour management strategies.

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be eligible to work in the UK.

School visit show arounds are welcome.  Please call the office to organise 01260 228088.

This is a MPS Temporary Teaching position starting on 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027.  Working hours will be Monday to Friday.

The closing date for applications is Monday, 29th June 2026, by midday, with interviews to be held on 1st July 2026.

The Learning Partnership is committed to the promotion of equality of opportunity and the elimination of discrimination; all applicants should note that they will be considered on the basis of suitability regardless of disability, gender, race, religion, age, sexual orientation and marital status or any other discrimination which is unfair or unreasonable. We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates and candidates with disabilities because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at The Learning Partnership.
