About this Role

Daven Primary School prides itself on being an inclusive community where every member is valued and treated with mutual respect. Our core values — Brave, Kind and Curious — sit at the heart of everything we do, shaping both our curriculum and our daily school life.

The Learning Partnership, together with the Headteacher, is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Practitioner to join our team. We are looking for a skilled candidate who is committed to our vision and values, is reliable and resilient, and is passionate about helping our nursery children to thrive.

As this is a new nursery provision, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping an outstanding early years environment where children are nurtured, cared for and inspired to learn.

We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who work well as part of a team and are dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of our pupils.

If you are motivated, child-centred, and excited by the opportunity to help build something exceptional from the ground up, we would love to hear from you.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • ·         Support and guide nursery practitioners in delivering the best early years provision.
  • ·         Contribute to staff development through mentoring, modelling best practice, and supporting training.
  • ·         Assist in the day-to-day management of the preschool environment, ensuring smooth operations and high standards
  • ·         Lead the planning and implementation of a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects the interests and needs of the children
  • ·         Work collaboratively with colleagues to implement targeted interventions.
  • ·        Support children with a range of needs, ensuring inclusive and differentiated provision.

The successful applicant will have key experience working within Early Years settings and with SEND children.  You will also possess extensive experience in planning, assessing and the EYFS Framework.  Experience managing a team as well as excellent communication, leadership and organisation skills is essential.

Applicants must hold a Degree in Early Childhood Studies or an equivalent Level 6 Early Years qualification, such as Early Years Professional Status (EYPS), Early Years Practitioner Status (EYP) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYT).

This is a permanent position as a Grade 6 SCP £28,599 to £31,023 pro rata per annum.  Start date will be the 5th January 2026.

Working hours will be 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, term time only, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm (with some flexibility).

The closing date for applications is the 3rd December 2025, by 5:00pm.  Interviews will be held on the 8th December 2025.

The Learning Partnership is a disability committed employer: applicants requiring adjustments to the application or interview process should contact bursar@daven.cheshire.sch.uk
