About this Role

The Maths Lead Practitioner is responsible for providing outstanding teaching and learning experiences for our students, accounting for students performance in line with procedures and ensuring that subject knowledge and behaviour of staff in the department is exemplary.

The principal responsibilities of this role will be to:

• To collaborate as a member of the Lead Practitioner Team in order to build and realise the shared vision of excellence and high standards for all students.

• To provide the School Committee with relevant and accurate information relating to the Faculty’s performance and development.

• To support and participate in the work of the Northallerton School and Sixth Form, including strand or subject groups as appropriate.

• To contribute actively towards the formulation of all policies and procedures, ensuring their consistent implementation.

• To ensure high quality teaching and learning in the Faculty or across the school.

• To participate in duties at lunch, break, before, during and after school.

• Promote a school community focused on learning, attendance and high standards of behaviour.
