Vacancy for a Learning Mentor at Woodston Primary School!

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 additional days)

Salary: Meridian Trust Grade 7, Point 12 £21,574


We are looking for a supportive, compassionate and dedicated Learning Mentor to join our team at Woodston Primary School. You will provide valuable support and guidance to pupils by promoting effective participation, enhancing individual learning and raising achievements. The role includes leading and developing the provision for individual pupils and groups in a safe, calm and enjoyable environment. You will be working closely with teachers, parents and pupils to build strong and positive relationships in regular workshop and targeted events. 


The opportunity - 

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help with learning and emotional wellbeing.
  • Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable spaces for students
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to build positive and meaningful relationships
  • Create and enhance provision to support learning and participation.

The individual -

  • Good educational background including GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Experience of supporting students or young people in an educational setting
  • Ability to build sustaining positive relationships with pupils, parents and external agencies 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing across the school
